PH High School  - Modified Version

Responses to the NUA Student Survey

            The NUA Student Survey contains 20 items. Its purpose is to assess the school’s instructional program from the students’ perspective. In November 2008, NUA obtained a convenient sample of student responses from PH High School: 511 completed surveys (out of a total of 625 students in grades 9-12. The items invited response in these areas:

            • Perspectives on myself as a learner

            • School climate

            • My teachers

            • Classroom activities

            • My favorite learning activities

Students were asked to strongly agree, agree, disagree, or strongly disagree with some statements and to select their choices among others. Students’ responses are summarized and discussed below. Rounding resulted in percentages that do not always add up to 100.

 

            Perspectives on myself as a learner. Students were first presented with six statements about their experiences as learners at the school. . The table below displays the specific percentages of responses to each item at each level of agreement.
